Some displays linked to our Religious Studies...
At All Saints Inter Church Primary Academy we value the education of the whole pupil and we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which promotes spiritual, cultural, emotional and physical development.
Spirituality is central to our school life. Our aim is to guide our pupils on their Christian journey, through daily prayer, reflection and liturgy as well as through our scheme of work for Religious education. We are fortunate to have links with the churches in March. Clergy are regular visitors to the school, helping us to celebrate whole school and class services as well as regularly leading collective worship.
Our Yearly overview for RE now incorporates 'Understanding Christianity'. The purpose of these new materials is to support pupils in developing their understanding of Christianity, as a contribution to their understanding of the world and their experience within it. The resources aim to enable pupils to know about and understand Christianity as a living world faith by exploring core theological concepts. It seeks to support pupils in developing their ability to connect, critically reflect upon, evaluate and apply their learning to their own growing understanding of religion and belief.
We believe that Collective Worship in the life of our academy names and celebrates God’s presence in our lives. It is concerned with giving glory, honour, praise and thanks to God. It is our loving response, in word and action, to God’s invitation to enter into relationship, made possible through the work of Jesus Christ and the witness of the Holy Spirit.
