    Living Our SHINE Values Everyday

At All Saints Inter‑Church Academy, our daily life is shaped by our Christian foundation and our commitment to being a welcoming, inclusive community for every child and family. As an inter‑church school, we celebrate the rich traditions of both the Church of England and other Christian denominations, while ensuring that pupils of all faiths and none feel valued, respected, and inspired.

Our SHINE Values—Service, Hope, Integrity, Nurture, Excellence—are at the heart of everything we do. They guide our learning, relationships, and aspirations, helping every child to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

    • Service: We encourage pupils to look beyond themselves, serving others through acts of kindness, charity projects, and community partnerships. From supporting local foodbanks to leading eco‑initiatives, children learn that small actions can make a big difference.

    • Hope: Our worship and curriculum nurture optimism and resilience. We teach children to see possibilities, persevere through challenges, and believe in a brighter future for themselves and the world.

    • Integrity: Honesty and responsibility are central to our ethos. Pupils learn to make wise choices, act with fairness, and stand up for what is right—even when it’s hard.

    • Nurture: Every child matters. We provide a safe, caring environment where wellbeing is prioritised, relationships are restored with compassion, and every learner feels supported to grow.

    • Excellence: We aim high in all we do—academically, creatively, and personally. Pupils are inspired to give their best, celebrate achievements, and develop the confidence to shine in their own unique way.

    Collective Worship

Worship is a special time where our community gathers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with our values:

    • Daily Gatherings: Class, phase, and whole‑school worship explore Bible stories, Christian festivals, and themes linked to SHINE values.
    • Led by Many Voices: Worship is led by staff, pupils, and local clergy, with children often planning prayers and reflections.
    • Inclusive & Invitational: Every child is included and invited to participate in ways that feel authentic and respectful.

    Religious Education

Our RE curriculum helps pupils understand how beliefs shape lives and communities:

    • Christianity at Depth and encounters with other world faiths through enquiry and discussion.
    • Critical & Compassionate Thinking: Asking big questions, listening well, and respecting difference.
    • Real‑World Links: Visits, guest speakers, and community projects bring learning to life.

    Celebrating the Christian Year

The rhythm of the church year brings colour and meaning to our calendar:

    • Advent & Christmas: Nativities, carol services, and acts of kindness.
    • Lent & Easter: Reflective worship and creative storytelling.
    • Pentecost & Beyond: Joyful celebrations of faith and community.

    Faith In Action

Church school life is about connecting learning with living:

    • Curriculum with Character: Projects that ask, “How can we make a difference?”
    • Global Citizenship: Exploring justice, stewardship, and compassion.
    • Celebration & Reflection: Recognising achievements linked to SHINE values in assemblies and newsletters.
