I joined the Board in September 2023 as Vice Chair for a year and was due to leave in August 2024. I quickly became invested in the school, staff and children (who doesn’t!) and became Chair in September 2024. I feel honoured to be part of this school and have every intention of playing my part in making our school the best it can be for our children, staff and the wider school community.
I have worked across the private, charity and education sectors in various leadership roles. I have been a CEO, Deputy CEO, CFO, Bursar and started my career as a professional town and county planner. I have worked in different settings in the education sector for over 23 years. I have always studied in my own time whilst working, as I love learning. I really enjoy supporting schools, as driven by helping those that help children receive the best possible education.
I joined the All-Saints board in October 2023 as a Catholic trustee and was elected chair of the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee in the autumn term 2024. Prior to this, I had no experience in being a governor or in the education sector, but decided I would like to do something for the community, so I volunteered when the chance arose.
I work as an IT specialist for a healthcare provider and have worked in the technology sector for over 20 years. I have a degree in History and have also previously lived and worked in France, Germany, Tiwan and Colombia.
Andrew has been Team Rector of March (St John, St Mary, St Peter, and St Wendreda) since 2015, and supports all four primary schools in March. Since All Saints is an Inter-Church Academy, the Rector is an ex-officio Foundation Trustee. Andrew has been a governor of various schools since 1987 and has seen lots of changes, but remains most concerned that we celebrate children and advocate the things they are good at that can become life-long interests and enthusiasms.
I am a retired Clinical Psychologist with a focus on Child Psychology. I have worked with children and families for over 40 years in a variety of settings. My first steps in child psychotherapy was working in the early 1970's with Barbara Dockar-Drysdale, Consultant Psychotherapist at the Mulberry Bush School in Oxfordshire. In my long career, I have also worked very closely with schools, particularly in the London Boroughs of Haringey and Islington.
I have a keen interest in the democratic participation of children and young people in the decision making process that has the most impact on their lives. Working in close collaboration with Rob Hutchinson CBE, former director of Portsmouth Social Services. I have run Turning the Curve workshops for local authorities in England and Wales, including Cambridgeshire on Results-Based Accountability.
