The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend that all children and young people should take part in moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity for at least 60 minutes every day. Children with special educational needs and disabilities should take part in 20 minutes of daily activity.
The Childhood Obesity Plan says that at least 30 minutes of daily activity should take place in schools.
At All Saints, we believe;
At All Saints we prioritise PE and sport premium spending to improve in the following 5 key areas:
Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils they have in years 1 to 6.
For the year 2023 to 2024, schools with 17 or more eligible pupils will receive £16,000 and an additional payment of £10 per pupil.
At All Saints we will receive roughly £18,000.
Over the year each child will participate in games, athletics and gymnastics lessons.
Our aim is that all children leave All Saints at the end of Year 6 able to swim 25 metres and be able to perform a safe self-rescue.
Sport will play a prominent part in the life of the school. We have superb sporting facilities and great opportunities to expand the development of sport at all levels.
