Year 6 visited the community garden at FACT, where we met Don (aged 93 years old). He showed us how to prepare the beds ready for seeds and bulbs. Whilst we were there, we also saw the community fridge which is where people can go to get food if they are struggling with the cost of living and which uses food from supermarkets which would otherwise go to landfill. Most of the vegetables grown at FACT go into the community fridge.
