Welcome to Book Club!

At All Saints Inter-Church Academy we want to develop every child's passion for reading. We encourage our children to read different types of books to develop their reading skills, expand their knowledge and become inspired. 

When?  Once a week at lunch time (day to be confirmed)

Where?  In the mobile on the field (nurture room)

What time? 1pm

Who can come along?  Children in Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5.

Our club aims to help children improve their reading skills and literacy appreciation as well as to engender in them a love of reading for life.  To encourage everyone to read more for pleasure and engage with a variety of high quality books, we have created this page where you can find out about our book club. 

We have different groups for different reading abilities and the children take it in turns to read aloud - it is relaxing and enjoyable for the children.  Once the children have finished a book, they write a book review.  We have large foam Blooms Taxonomy dice which have literary questions - the children enjoy rolling the dice and answering the questions about the book.
